An interesting take on blogging.

Put me in, Coach!

No I'm not begging for a seat downgrade, it is baseball time. As my favorite sport, I do my best to keep up with all the news I can possibly squeeze in, so to give you a chance to keep up, here are some baseball links that I like/use/recommend.

BallBug

Ballbug is fantastic page that collects/collates/aggregates all the baseball news you can handle.

Baseball Reference

Exactly what you think. Stats, data, standings. Easy to navigate and easier to burn a few hours in a hurry.

Though ESPN or SI may have game recaps on their sites, by far the best way to keep up with your team is with one (or more) of their beat writers. These guys are at everything, have access, and provide great insights. Here are of my favs.

Yankees

Pete Abraham
Tyler Kepner

Reds

Hal McCoy
John Fay

Other great sources are independant team specific blogs. These can cover much of the same ground as the beat reporters (and many times use them as sources) though there are some solid insights out there. These are just a couple of the many solid ones.

River Ave. BluesRedleg Nation

All of these sites offer RSS feeds for easy access. They really help when you don't have time (or money) to watch every game. Many of the major sites (Yahoo, et. al) have team specific feeds that you can subscribe too that offer more general/basic coverage if you're not a hardcore fan yet.

What sites do you get info from?
